Midfielder Milan Janosevic<\/strong> was born in the Serbian town of Raska on April 3, 1980. He made his first footballing steps at the age of eight in his hometown with FK Bane, continuing on with the FK Zemun academy. He signed his first professional contract and made his debut for the Zemun senior side in 2001 and after that, he would continue with Podgorica-based club FK Zeta who played in the First League of FR Yugoslavia at the time. He had a stint with his hometown team Bane in 2003\u201304 and then transferred to Iceland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYes, I played two years in Iceland for two different clubs which was a huge experience for me. A league with lots of running and battles \u2013 a true Scandinavian style of play.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2006, on the invitation of assistant coach Stevan Mojsilovic, he signed with our Serbian White Eagles FC who just began play in the Canadian Soccer League for the first time since 1980. As an inaugural member of the club, he won the International Division title, and featured in the CSL Championship final against the Italia Shooters in his debut season. He entered the history books by winning the CSL Championship in 2008 against the Trois-Rivi\u00e8res Attak and also was a member of the team the year after where the Serbian White Eagles narrowly lost to the Attak at BMO Field in the 2009 CSL Championship final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat title in 2008 was and is a big deal for us. It was one of the best titles and memories in my career.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his tenure with our club, he won a total of three division titles, and one championship. Janosevic hung up the boots after the 2011 CSL season and is now the director of Premium Windows and Doors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTo cap off, may Serbia win in Qatar and may the Serbian White Eagles win the 2023 championship after that. Go White Eagles!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
