A THUNDEROUS SERBIAN WHITE EAGLES VICTORY

Serbian White Eagles midfielder Nikola Timotijevic struck four times to lift our side to a 9-2 romp over Weston United at the Paramount 1 Field on Saturday August 26.

The opening goal by Vladimir Strizovic came early just after kickoff while Weston United defender Edson Rivera scored his side’s first goal at 17 minutes to tie the score. This was followed by Marko Stajic making it 2-1 at 19 minutes.

Vladimir Strizovic scored his second goal at the 22nd minute, Nikola Timotijevic entered the picture with his first goal at 32 minutes, Stefan Pejic found the net at the 35th minute mark and Nikola Djurkovic found the net past Weston United goalkeeper Marcel da Silva just before the break.

Nikola Timotijevic scored his second goal at 60 minutes, the hat-trick at 70 minutes and goal number four was struck at the 80th minute mark to complete the Serbian White Eagles scoring.

Pedro Ruso scored Weston’s second goal during the closing minutes of the match.

The 9-2 victory marks the sixth time of the eleven matches played this season that our team has scored four or more goals – a marked turn of events from the previous two seasons.

The victory also keeps our Serbian White Eagles five points in front of Scarborough on top of the table with a 9-2-0 WLT record.

Our next match (the final match of the regular season prior to the playoffs) is Saturday September 16 (2:00 PM) at Paramount 1 Field in Mississauga against Scarborough SC.
