Our Serbian White Eagles tied yesterday against Toronto Falcons FC with a score of 1-1.
It was end to end throughout the match with the Falcons taking the lead off a Nazar Slobodian penalty kick in the 72nd minute following a hand ball in the Serbian White Eagles box. Serbian White Eagles tied the game eight minutes later when our midfielder Nikola Timotijevic headed the ball into the net from a cross from the right wing well out of reach of Falcons goalkeeper Anatoly Starushchenko. Timotijevic now leads the league in scoring with ten goals.
The tie keeps our team in third place in the standings with sixteen points (tied with second place Toronto Falcons and three points behind league-leading Scarborough).
Our Serbian White Eagles play their next match on Saturday September 7 (2:00 PM) at Rob Ford Stadium in Etobicoke against the Spanish Future Stars.
