Our Serbian White Eagles won today against Hamilton City by a score of 3-1 thanks to goals by Stefan Milosevic, Nikola Djurkovic and Nikola Timotijevic.
The win moves our team into third place in the standings, tied on points with second place Toronto Falcons and one point behind league-leading Scarborough.
Forward Stefan Milosevic took a cross from the right wing to head into the net for a 1-0 lead at seven minutes for Serbian White Eagles and Nikola Djurkovic made it 2-0, a drive from outside the box that caught the roof of the net at the 20th minute mark. Elvir Gigolaj struck for Hamilton City at 27 minutes and it was 2-1 at the break.
Five minutes into the second half, Nikola Djurkovic was shown the red card by referee Carlos Rodriguez for violent conduct.
Midfielder Nikola Timotijevic increased the lead to 3-1 for our team in the 90th minute and that would remain the score at the final whistle. Timotijevic now leads the league in scoring with nine goals.
